I adore knitting cables...wearing them of course can make one look fluffy! Sorta like Fairlight and Violet....Ewes not fat, ewes just fluffy!
With every new issue, I oogle over the Brooklyn Tweed and all their cables!!! I couldn't resist and ordered 3 patterns from the latest issue.
One is the Tiller scarf! It was the perfect project for our farm yarn! However, I'm on my 3rd skein and the weight of this scarf alone is enough to weigh down bricks!
One funny fact about me is I often get a project 99% complete and then frog it...rippit, rippit, rippit! Yes, I confess. I am a frog in disguise.
I just started the novel Outlander. I'm usually a few years behind most on things to watch or read....but better slow then never getting it at all! The answer to that question..."you haven't seen Outlander"? is NO! It took me 3 years to hear about Downton Abbey, but do you know what lightening speed Netflix makes it for one to catch-up?
So far the first few pages are delightful! The exchange of conversation is refreshing compared to Rachel Herron's books.....a total disappointment that an author needs to use such a string of profanity to express oneself....I think she just needs a good thesaurus! The funny thing is I didn't learn with 1 of her books, no not even with the second....but trust me I have her name memorized now and after the disappointment of the 3rd book I PURCHASED I WILL NOT MAKE THAT MISTAKE A 4th TIME!!!
The other book I"m reading simultaneously is The French House....so far so good! You must read the forward in the book though....I never skip those things. You never know what treasures the author has stored there!
Have a lovely day wherever you are in this big wide world!
