Living big in the raw

It's day 6 of my 21 day raw food cleanse....so far SO good!!!

You know what they say, variety is the spice of life! That is so true when you are forced to make changes. At sometime in our lives most of us will face some health issue that will demand change!

I finally spoke with my doc and he was not concerned at all about Lyme revisiting...he doesn't believe that I'm fighting it again (I don't either really....cause I can take some pretty strong herbs that would cause terrible herxing....and there is nothing)....he believes that my immune system is challenged from the food issues (Mast Cell Activation Disorder). He basically just wants me to work on boosting it....which of course I am. He did confirm that indeed cooking in a cast iron skillet for 365x3=HIGH Ferritin! (for those of you who haven't looked it up yet....that's iron! And too much iron can cause inflammation....so there is the cycle).

That phone call alone sent my spirits soaring! I'm still struggling with joint/muscle pain. But I'm sure with a change in diet, boosting my immune system and getting acupuncture again every week will alleviate those issues. Plus increasing my Curcumin supps and anything else I can think of.

BACK TO FOOD!

I'm totally loving my guacamole, but this mango salsa was da bomb!

You can add just about anything you want! I use lots of red onion, red pepper, cilantro and lime. Most if not all of those are great ANTI foods; anti-inflammatory, anti-histamine, anti-anaphylactic....etc. And I'm still all about the ANTI foods! (I almost kicked out in a chorus of All About The Bass!)

I'm sorta a weenie when it comes to heat as in food heat....so I don't add too much...of course you could use jalapeno pepper if you can tolerate it. I added salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder and that's about it....I scooped it with red pepper slices...then just slurped it down with a spoon!!!
