Well, it's true, but God's timing is most definitely everything and always perfect!
I've been struggling lately with my health. I'm not exactly sure what's going on. It could just be the Mast Cell Activation Disorder or it could be something else.
My left hand has been tingly and dead with a great deal of pain for about 6 months. On a scale of 1-10 it was a 10 at night, during the day about 3-5. I've tried everything but not much has helped. The most helpful thing has been acupuncture and an essential oil blend I put together that I rub vigorously on my extremities twice a day. My hand doesn't go to sleep....golly I wish it did. That would be an improvement. It just feels dead! Then I get a lot of pain in my legs that keeps me from falling to sleep and I've just been SO tired, and lost most of my strength. Carrying the 50# bags of grain in from the van nearly does me in for the day....so I try to spread things out a bit more. Don't fret, I have an appointment to see my doc.
It all seemed to start in May/June about the same time I started the Gastrocrom for the Mast Cell. One warning on the drug was to stop if intense bone pain started....and yes, it did. I stopped taking the Gastrocrom for that reason and because it just made me feel inflamed and gross.
In an effort to deal with the daily pain, I started a anti-detox diet. I quite coffee cold turkey and paid for it with massive headaches for 3 days. The funny thing is, I actually feel more alert in the mornings now without any caffein. I'm juicing and as The Low Histamine Chef says, I'm making Jui-cies; a combo of juices & blendings/smoothies. I drink an herbal infusion (steeped for 20-30+ minutes) using Ashwagandha Root, Gogi Berries, Chaste Tree Berries, Fo-Ti Root and Rehmanniae Root....OH YUM! Tongue in cheek...but I know how good they are for me and have grown quite use to their earthy woodsy taste! I also am drinking Holy Basil tea with Eleuthero Root.
My favorite recipe so far has been the butternut squash soup!!! OH boy was it good!!! I cut and peeled 1 butternut squash and roasted it in the oven at 375*f with 1 red onion, dash of turmeric and dash of cinnamon, drizzled with lots of EVOO. I cooked it for 45 minutes or until all is tender and then whizzed it in the Vitamix with 2 cups or water or if you can tolerate bone broth that would be good. YUM!!!
Since my hands have been in so much pain, I've put down the knitting & spinning for a time....of course I hope it's not for too long, cause Winter's comin and I am not finished knitting!
I was scrolling through a blog last night and started a doodle page with my legs propped up on a pillow and trying to forget the pain.
I decided that I wanted to re-do it on a canvas board in acrylics and have it framed.
Here's what I've accomplished this weekend. I just love how the light rays from my window came in and created what I really wanted to convey....but I am not that talented...yet!
It speaks to me. The Bride of Christ.
I think the Scripture that keeps coming to me while painting this is, Revelation 22:17
"The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life."
