He is Risen Indeed!
Those who came to the grave of Jesus weren't prepared to be amazed. They came expecting to mourn the death of their teacher. Their son. Their brother. Their friend.
Instead, what they found was a risen Lord!
A risen Saviour!
Don't we come on most days, expecting to find the body of a dead man in the tomb?
Don't we?
Really. Be honest.
Because as I look at life, and as I look at those who claim to be followers of our risen Lord Jesus, I cannot tell them apart from the world.
They fear tomorrow.
Their faces are drawn downward.
They have no joy.
Oh what joy filled my heart!!!
I knew they were coming. They are just here to help me maintain my pastures until we move....but still, I was amazed at what peace and joy they brought me. Both The Hired Hand and I went to swap howdies with them and to just enjoy their presence.
While in Texas in February I texted my friend Kelly and asked if she would like to bring some sheep over to graze this summer. They will save me an additional 3 hours on the mowing EVERY week!
32! I was amazed!!! Giddy! Just over the moon!!!
I just ewwwed and ahhhhed and I am amazed at how much peace they brought back to me....just to watch them be sheep.
A pure and amazing deal!!!
Is there anything in life more beautiful then lambs on a spring pasture?
He makes me to lie down in green pastures.
He restores my soul.
I will fear no evil.
For you are with me.
Come on.....let's be amazed not just today but everyday!
Amazed first that God so loved the world that He gave His one and ONLY Son.
Amazed that we really have nothing to fear.
Amazed that He gives new life.
Amazed that each and every day is a miracle and should be lived as such.
Amazed at the JOY He gives and the JOY that can be found in the simple pleasures of life....like lambs on a spring pasture.
Be amazed!!!!
